At NAB 2011, Axcera will transmit a live ATSC Mobile DTV signal, which will be received by a variety of consumer receivers. Expanding Axcera's leadership position in the mobile media transmission equipment industry by supporting the latest standards with the most current technology, the ATSC Mobile DTV demonstration will allow visitors to the Axcera booth SU2908 to see this state-of-the-art transmission solution first hand, and to experience the technology by viewing program content on various mobile receivers.
The demonstration will encompass a complete, field-proven, end-to-end transmission solution, including Axcera's ATSC Mobile DTV Preprocessor/Multiplexer and its Axciter™ ATSC exciter-modulator along with the 4Caster™ C4 mobile content encoding solution from Envivio, ESG equipment from Expway, and consumer receivers from a variety of suppliers. The transmission will include legacy (main service) ATSC programming, truly replicating an actual TV station format.
